Eight pregnant women have contracted the Covid-19 virus for the year. This is according to the Director of Women’s Health Dr. Adesh Sirjusingh who made the announcement based on preliminary data sourced from the Ministry of Health. Speaking during Saturday’s Covid-19 health update, Dr. Sirjusingh said there are presently some critically-ill pregnant women in the intensive care unit. Kimberly De Souza has more.
