Even as the Trade Union Movement prepares to march on Friday against the 2% wage increase being offered, the Chief Personnel Officer says Public Sector negotiations remain an ongoing process.
In a media release, the Office of the CPO says negotiations with Public Sector Unions are scheduled to continue in the month of June 2022.
The Chief Personnel Officer, Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial, will meet with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Social and Welfare Association on June 10th, the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service Association on June 13th, the Daily Rated Unions on June 15th, the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers’ Association on June 17th, the Public Services Association on June 21st, and the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service Association on June 24th.
Union leaders have described the Government’s offer of a 2% wage increase over the years 2014 to 2021 as insulting, ludicrous, distasteful, and comedic.
