A woman was killed and her son was left injured in a shooting incident along King’s Wharf in San Fernando on Friday afternoon.
According to reports, the woman, identified as Monica Ghany of Vistabella, and her son, 19 year old Matthew Ghany, had just left the San Fernando General Hospital when assailants opened fire on the car they were in.
Ms. Ghany died at the scene while her son was taken to hospital for treatment.
The incident happened a short distance from where a man, identified as ‘Bam’ of King’s Wharf, was fatally shot on Thursday night.
In another incident, a 19 year old from Blue Basin was shot to death in Diego Martin on Friday morning.
The victim was identified as Nicholas Smith of Andrew Trace, Diego Martin.
According to reports, police were called to the scene after residents of Bagatelle Road reported hearing several gunshots around 6am. The victim, who was found nursing gunshots wounds, subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
On November 19th 2022, the victim’s elder brother, 25 year old Curtis Smith, was gunned down in Chaguanas.
