Students sitting this year’s CXC exams will have three more weeks to prepare.
The announcement came via a Caribbean Examination Council Virtual Briefing this afternoon.
CXC’s Registrar and CEO, Dr. Wayne Wesley, said the decision to delay the exams followed a Special Meeting of Council earlier today, and took into consideration the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on students’ preparations. There are also adjustments to the timeline for the SBA component.
Dr. Wesley said CXC will also release to students the broad topics to be assessed on Paper 2.
