The Digicel Foundation ended its financial year with a surplus.
Foundation Director, Bibi Mohamed-Singh, presented the company’s financials at its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday.
Mrs. Mohamed-Singh said the Foundation received funding from only one donor, Digicel Trinidad and Tobago, which contributed US$750,000 to the organisation.
Although they had a reduction in their donations, Mrs. Mohamed-Singh said project expenses still increased by 8%.
She revealed their donor pool decreased from four to one, and shared how the majority of the funds were spent.
Over the past ten years, The Digicel Foundation has supported over 500 projects in communities across Trinidad and Tobago.
Chief Executive Officer of Digicel Trinidad and Tobago, Abraham Smith, said the Foundation continues to deepens relationships with customers and help them grow in their communities.
