The Community Oriented Policing Section of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service took their safety caravan to South Park in Tarouba on Saturday.
The Community Police officers were joined by representatives from the Special Investigations Unit, Arrive Alive, Alcoholics Anonymous, and others. With demonstrations from the Fire Service, Life Guards and the Traffic Patrol Section, the caravan quizzed and educated visitors. These demonstrations included administering CPR, beach safety, as well as the use of the breathalyser and speed guns.
The Special Investigations Unit cautioned persons who may be headed away from this country over the vacation period to be on the alert.
The Children’s Authority and the Community Oriented Policing Section also had booths in the caravan.
Over the last few months the caravan visited the Gulf City Mall and the C3 Shopping Complex.
