Investigations are ongoing into this country’s first murder for 2022.
The victim has been identified as 67 year old Elza Theodora Sandy of Saffire Drive, Tacarigua.
Reports are around 2pm on Sunday, neighbours went to check on Ms. Sandy and drop off some food for her. When they arrived, they observed the front door open, and alerted relatives as they found this was strange.
Upon searching, relatives found Ms. Sandy’s body at the back of her apartment. She was lying on the ground on her back in a pool of blood. Her body bore visible wounds.
