A San Fernando woman escaped serious injury on Tuesday after a concrete utility pole fell on her car.
According to reports at around 9am, the 36 year old from La Romaine was driving West behind a cement truck along Chaconia Avenue in Pleasantville.
The cement truck came into contact with one of the overhead wires pulling down the electricity pole and two transformers.
The driver escaped unhurt.
Power went out in most of Pleasantville, affecting schools, businesses, and the Health Centre.
T&TEC was alerted and crews were dispatched to replant a pole with transformers and restore supply to the Health Centre.
