Full Proclamation Of Remaining Sections Of Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act, 2015

Full proclamation of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act will take effect from next Wednesday, April 26th 2023.

The announcement was made by Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs Senior Counsel Reginald Armour. The AG said at a meeting today, the Cabinet approved the full proclamation of all the remaining sections of the Act.

The Public Procurement Act seeks to to provide for the acquisition of goods, works or services involving the use of public money, and for the retention and disposal of public property. All this to be done in accordance with the principles of good governance. It also provides for the establishment of the Office of Procurement Regulation.
