Warnings about rough seas around Trinidad and Tobago did not put a damper on some beach goers’ plans.
At the Carat Shed Beach in La Brea, scores of persons were seen in the crashing waves, on the sand, and in their cars.
Trinidad and Tobago was under a Hazadaous Seas Alert – Yellow Level at the time, which warned sea bathers, fishermen, small craft operators, and other coastal interests to exercise caution along the coast. The Alert has since been discontinued.
