The Government will immediately apply for leave to appeal the Court of Appeal’s decision, after Auditor General Jaiwantie Ramdass was granted permission to file a claim for judicial review in her matter against the Finance Minister and the Cabinet.
Minister of Finance Colm Imbert has instructed the government’s lawyers to appeal to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council as an urgent matter.
