Two thousand micro and small businesses will benefit from a training programme aimed at leveraging their growth and expansion.
The programme ‘Growing Together’ was launched by the Coca-Cola Company and Caribbean Bottlers Trinidad in partnership with UWI-Roytec on Friday, and will engage participants in several courses including business management, financing, customer service, and innovation.
Trade and Industry Minister Paula Gopee-Scoon said such a programme will assist these entities to face gaps in business training and knowledge, and noted that such a sector is key to the economy.
Meanwhile, General Manager of Coca-Cola Caribbean Bottlers T&T, Camille Chatoor, said the company believes such a programme would greatly assist small businesses, having gone through a difficult period during the pandemic.
The 2,000 establishments will benefit from the programme over the next 12 months. Participants also have the option to log in virtually and receive a certificate from UWI-Roytec on completion.
