Uncertainty continues to surround the ouster of West Indies star Deandra Dottin from the Gujarat Giants franchise for the inaugural Women’s Premier League.
According to Cricinfo, the Giants have issued a clarifying statement saying: “Deandra is a world-class player and a wonderful signing for the franchise. Unfortunately, we were unable to obtain a medical clearance before the defined deadline for this season, such clearances are a requirement of all players participating in the WPL.”
Dottin has been replaced in the Gujarat line-up by Australian Kim Garth for the ongoing Women’s Premier League.
