HADCO Experiences At Asa Wright Nature Centre Boosts Job Creation

Tourism Trinidad Limited and the HADCO Group are proud to announce the opening of the new HADCO Experiences at Asa Wright Nature Centre. This represents a significant milestone and a new initiative aimed at promoting eco-tourism for local and international visitors.

The launch of this project presents a unique opportunity to continue the tradition of an immersive environmental experience that showcases the beauty of Trinidad’s natural environment while creating jobs and boosting tourism.

The refurbished facilities include a restaurant/dining room with a bar and a dining capacity of forty-two (42) seats; the “Jade Vine Terrace,” an outdoor/open-air dining and event space with a bar, with a capacity of forty-six (46) seats; and the meeting/conference room, the “Mango Room,” with a capacity of one hundred (100) seats.

Additionally, the project is expected to create seventy-five (75) permanent jobs, which is a major boost to the local economy.

“The opening of HADCO Experiences is a major milestone for our tourism machinery, and we are proud to support this initiative,” said Senator Randall Mitchell, Minister of Tourism, Culture, and the Arts. “By showcasing the beauty of our natural environment, we can attract more visitors to Trinidad and create jobs for our people. This upgraded facility is an excellent example of how public-private partnerships can drive sustainable economic growth and development.”

The newly branded HADCO Experiences at Asa Wright Nature Centre is expected to increase the relevance of and strengthen the local eco-tourism brand, thereby making this country a destination of choice for regenerative and sustainable tourism.

HADCO Co-CEO John Hadad commented, “We are thrilled to launch HADCO Experiences at Asa Wright Nature Centre. Our partnership with the Asa Wright Trust is an opportunity to create a world-class eco-tourism destination that showcases the beauty of Trinidad and Tobago. We are committed to supporting local communities and creating employment opportunities that contribute to sustainable economic development.”

This investment, which will benefit from incentives under the Tourism Development Act, apart from creating jobs, will also generate linkages in the agriculture and agro-processing sectors as the owners offer signature creations for guests.

Chair of the Asa Wright Trust, Professor Judith Gobin, said, “We are delighted to partner with HADCO Group to launch HADCO Experiences at Asa Wright Nature Centre. This project will not only help us preserve and protect the natural environment but also create sustainable livelihoods for the communities in the area. We look forward to welcoming visitors to the centre and showcasing the unique biodiversity of Trinidad and Tobago.”

HADCO Experiences at Asa Wright Nature Centre is now open to the public, offering a range of eco-tourism activities that will promote the beauty of Trinidad’s natural environment while creating job opportunities for the local communities.
