Hans Des Vignes Highlights Leadership And Vision For Diego Martin West

Following his nomination process at the Point Cumana Regional Complex in Diego Martin, PNM candidate for Diego Martin West, Hans Des Vignes, has expressed his readiness for the April 28th General Election.

On Friday, the area buzzed with excitement as the PNM candidate arrived. Well-known for his work in various media outlets, he made a bold entrance that amplified the anticipation.

After formally filing his nomination papers, he commended the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) for their professionalism.

“Throughout the process, there was that back and forth in terms of communication to ensure that every single one of the individuals submitting themselves to be voted put in the work and was able to submit their documents in the best possible way, and as always, Elections and Boundaries remains very professional and very democratic in the process.”

The Diego Martin West seat was previously held by former Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley, and Mr. Des Vignes said the leadership skills gleaned from Dr. Rowley paved the way for him.

“Yes, there’s a foundation set. But what I will also say is that Dr. Rowley walks in two shoes and in Diego Martin West we have over 50,000 constituents which means over 100,000 people’s shoes to walk in. That’s what representation is about for us at the People’s National Movement. That’s what it’s about. It’s about walking in people’s shoes and doing our best to represent them in the Parliament.”

Being a media personality, Mr. Des Vignes said his vibrant utilisation of these outlets is part of what he would like to continue implementing if elected.

“There are two things that I say, people need information and inspiration. It’s to continue to use the media outlets, the media channels, to continue to inform people and again be that example to inspire the next generation to know it is possible.”

Stating that the support and leadership of his party has been instrumental in this process, Mr. Des Vignes expressed his readiness ahead of the upcoming elections.
