The Hasely Crawford Stadium has officially been handed back over to the Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago, days before the official start of the CARIFTA Games.
The stadium, which has been closed since late 2024 for the installation of a new running track and football field, was handed over on Tuesday.
It was originally scheduled to be ready in time for the CARIFTA trials but was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.
President of the National Association of Athletics Administrations of Trinidad and Tobago, Ephraim Serrette, who was present at the handover, called it a job well done. He said he believes the track will provide some exciting performances this weekend.
