Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, has described the comments made by Political Leader of the United National Congress, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, as “unfortunate.”
He was asked about the Opposition Leader’s statement by reporters on Saturday during the Official Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative Accreditation Ceremony for the Mt. Hope Women’s Hospital.
On Thursday evening, Mrs. Persad-Bissessar quoted a song by deceased artiste K Lion from the Trinibad music genre, which makes reference to using a gun until there is no more ammunition. She told her supporters that the action should be done when criminals come through their door.
