The unveiling of the TT Moves Building Signage Project at the Sangre Grande Enhanced Centre, under the Eastern Regional Health Authority, is the Ministry of Health’s way of reinvigorating its response to the silent killer – Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).
At the unveiling on Thursday, Line Minister Terrence Deyalsingh said NCDs, which are known as lifestyle diseases, occur by the choices people make daily. The Minister said healthcare around the world and in Trinidad and Tobago is predicated on treating people for uncontrolled diabetes, cholesterol, and high blood pressure.
He said the TT Moves project encourages the population to make better lifestyle choices when it comes to what they consume. He urged everyone to make a pledge to live a better life.
