The Sport and Culture Under-19 50-Over Cup continued apace this week with matches at the Inshan Ali Park in Preysal and the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, Couva.
At Preysal, the Hummingbirds set an imposing 306 for 5 of their 50 overs. Abdur Rahaman Juman top-scored with 91, Sachin Emrit was second best with 56. In response, the Scarlet Ibis Under 19s were skittled for 141 in 39.5 overs.
Fareez Ali was the pick of the bowlers, getting 2 for 20.
At the NCC in Balmain, the Flamingoes posted a challenging total of 256 for 7 batting first. Nikyle Jalim had an aggressive 71 of 75 balls. Kovid Bispath took 2 for 20. However the Masqueraders made light work of the total racing to 257 for 3 in 43.3 overs. Veeran Batchu had an unbeaten 91 to lead the way, Kyle Kissoondath 82, and Kendel Poochoon 62.
