The Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries says the De-Inventory Phase of operations on the capsized vessel off Cove, Tobago has been completed.
The De-Inventory phase involved safely pumping all recoverable hydrocarbons from the wreck.
The Ministry says at the close of the operation on June 28, thirty-two thousand, three hundred and three barrels were successfully recovered and transported to Scarborough where they were pumped onto a tanker.
The tanker subsequently set sail to offload the hydrocarbons at the Paria Fuel Trading Company Limited.
The next phase of the operation will focus on refloating and towing the barge to a designated facility in Trinidad.
