The West Indies will begin their bid to qualify for the main draw of the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia when they play Scotland on October 17th.
The West Indies will have to go through the qualifying stage because they were not ranked in the top eight by the ICC’s cut off date of November 15th, 2021.
They are placed in Group B alongside Scotland and two additional two teams from the global qualifiers. The top two teams from Group A and B will qualify for the Super 12s.
Defending champions Australia meanwhile will open against neighbours New Zealand on October 22nd.
