ICC Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup: West Indies Lose To New Zealand

The West Indies Under-19 Women went down to New Zealand in their third Group C World Cup clash.

Batting first, the Caribbean ladies were bundled out for a paltry 68 as they were unable to express their shots due to disciplined New Zealand bowling. Kate Chandler was the pick of the bowlers for the Kiwis, taking three for eight from her four overs. The only West Indian batter into double figures was Earnisha Fontaine who scored 11 with extras amounting to 25.

Needing 69 to stay on top off Group C, New Zealand raced to their target in 7.2 overs – 72 without loss the final score, New Zealand winning comfortably by 10 wickets. This puts them first on 6 points with the Windies second on four.
