Public Utilities Minister Marvin Gonzales is promising that at least 70% of the population will receive a 24/7 water supply once plans at the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) are executed.
The Minister says right now, only around 40% of the population receive a 24/7 supply and notes that figure was around 34% six months ago.
However, he says WASA has a strategic action plan aimed to improving the pipe borne water supply to many areas in the next three to five years. The Minister also rejects the Opposition’s concerns that certain areas were being prioritised.
