The south-western peninsula including the Borough of Point Fortin has not been neglected.
This according to Public Utilities Minister Marvin Gonzales noting that there have been countless projects in the area since 2020.
He listed numerous projects including the opening of the Archibald De Leon Highway, Point Fortin Hospital and impending opening of the Point Fortin Fire Station.
Added to this are projects aimed to significantly increase the water supply to residents along the peninsula.
On returning to office in 2020, Minister Gonzales said he’s had many ‘sleepless nights’ over the inadequate supply of water experienced by those in the area and made a commitment to address the issue.
