Tobago will soon see the realisation of water security and sustainability.
This, according to Minister of Public Utilities, Marvin Gonzales, as he spoke to the media on Tuesday during the Sod Turning Ceremony for a project to improve water supply to South West Tobago.
Mr. Gonzales said the Shirvan Booster System has already been supporting the area, and this new project will further supplement. He also announced another milestone was achieved regarding the desilting of the Hillsborough Dam. The Commissioning also took place on Tuesday.
Three ground water wells would soon be drilled in the St. Mary’s area. Minister Gonzales said in one year, Tobago will be a model for the nation.
