The Unified Football Coaches of Trinidad and Tobago marked another milestone in their journey to improving the standing of its membership by announcing a partnership with insurance giant Sagicor today.
Having taken recent steps to bring the profession into the modern era, the Unified Football Coaches’ latest move provides, for the first time, Group Medical and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance to local coaches.
The Association was commended for its foresight by Sagicor representative and former Under-14 National Team Manager Christo Gouveia.
NFCTT Interim President Jefferson George said such a facility was long overdue.
So far, UFCTT has had 130 application for membership and is in discussions with the Tobago Football Association and Coaches Association to have them represented under the umbrella.
The plan will be a yearly subscription available to financial members of the governing body.
