It was a one sided affair today in the TATA IPL as Chennai Super Kings locked horns with the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Chennai made full use of the 20 overs, posting a massive 216 for 4 batting first. Robin Uthappa gave a taste of his younger days, smashing 88 of 50 balls which included 9 sixes. However, young Shivam Dube outshined the veteran, racing to 95 not out of 46 balls.
RCB needed to have an impactful start to their chase but it was the opposite, losing Faf Du Plesis and the dangerous Virat Kholi before the fifth over. Shahbaz Ahmed tried to repair the innings with a 27-ball 41 but the pressure was simply to much as RCB fell way short on 193 for 9, handing CSK victory by 23 runs and also their first points of the 2022 IPL.
