The Indian Premier League continued at pace today with an exciting match up between the Punjab Kings and newcomers Gujarat Titans.
Liam Livingstone spearheaded the tally for Punjab, smashing a 27-ball 64 to lead Punjab to a highly competitive 189 for 9 in 20 overs. Odean Smith did not have the best of days, falling to a first ball duck. Rashid Khan came up trumps with the ball, grabbing 3 for 22.
Gujarat would have needed an immense effort to get over the line and that they did. Shubman was destructive, hitting 96 of 59 balls to winch the Titans to the very end. With 12 runs from two balls, Odean Smith was on the receiving end of two lofty blows as Gujarat romped to a spectacular victory finishing on 190 for 4 in exactly 20 overs.
