Police are searching for three men who killed a Moruga woman and stole over $40,000 cash on Monday.
According to police reports, 36 year old Stacy Gopaulsingh, a Judicial Support Officer with the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago, was asleep at her home with her husband and her child at 65 Poui Trace, St. Mary’s Village, Moruga.
At around 3am, three men wearing dark clothing entered the home and robbed the couple of TT$40,000 in cash, US$800, two wedding bands, and a laptop computer.
Gopaulsingh was chopped about her body by the assailants. She died at the scene. Her husband escaped with the child by jumping through a window.
The men ran off with the loot.
