The hardworking T&T match official Kwinsi Williams has been elevated to the rank of FIFA Referee.
This was announced by the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association today.
According to the TTFA, Williams is the only male referee from Trinidad and Tobago on the FIFA 2023 International List, and he joins females Crystal Sobers and Cicile Hinds who are well known on the local and regional football circuit.
As expected, Qatar 2022 World Cup Assistant Referee Caleb Wales tops the List of ARs. The experienced Ainsley Rochard and Evelyn Carissa Douglas-Jacob also return to the upper echelons of match officials.
They were accepted based on recommendation by the TTFA’s Referees Department, headed by Michael Ragoonath following grueling physical and theoretical tests.
The TTFA will host its next Referees Recruit Course on January 12th, 2023 at the TTFA Home of Football and Ato Boldon Stadium.
