The treatment of former Petrotrin employees was carefully considered by Government when the decision was taken to restructure the company.
This, according to Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Stuart Young, who attended the public draw for the first block of residential lots for former Petrotrin employees.
Cabinet-approved lands for Petrotrin workers will be distributed at La Romaine, Ste. Madeleine, San Fernando, Princes Town, Couva, and Point Fortin.
According to Minister Young, the matter was addressed with all employees in mind.
Meanwhile, Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Pennelope Beckles, thanked the former Petrotrin employees for their patience. She said Government has not forgotten about this group of people.
