Tobago’s Buccoo Goat and Crab Race should be a regular feature throughout the year.
This, from Chief Secretary Farley Augustine who spoke at the Taste of Buccoo Prize Giving Ceremony on Tuesday.
Mr. Augustine said the Buccoo beach has become a major attraction, and goat owners should maximise on this opportunity.
Assemblyman for Buccoo/Mt. Pleasant, Sonny Craig, congratulated the organisers, adding the enthusiasm of the goat owners were notable, which made the event a success.
They stressed the THA does not intend to take over the organisation of the annual Goat and Crab Race and urged the goat owners to communicate with the Village Council, the usual host of the event.
