The Malabar South Community Council brought together different stakeholders as they hosted a Meet and Greet affair on Labour Day.
President of the Malabar South Community Council, Stern Barnes, said they were tackling what they see as a breakdown in the community.
Member of Parliament for D’Abadie/O’Meara, Lisa Morris-Julian, who attended, said she envisioned people reconnecting in the area in order to build a stronger and brighter future for themselves.
The MP suggested that outside of family, community bonds shape better links to better lives.
Malabar South Community Council President Barns explained that for the upcoming vacation they are working on other projects focusing on young people including game nights, movie nights, karaoke and talent shows.
