Matthews And Mumbai Indians W In 8-Wicket Win Over UP Warriorz W

West Indies opener Hayley Matthews and her Mumbai Indians W pulled off an eight wicket win over UP Warriorz W in the Women’s Premier League at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

After electing to bat, Warriorz W managed 159 for 6 from their 20 overs. Captain Alyssa Healey hit 58 at the top, Tahlia McGrath hit an even half ton at number four – they put on 82 for the third wicket.

Matthews took one for 27, Saika Ishaque took 3 for 33, and Amelia Kerr 2 for 33.

Mumbai W captain Harmanpreet Kaur top-scored in the chase with an unbeaten 53, Nat Sciver-Brunt also finished the innings unbeaten on 45. Yastika Bhatia contributed 42 while Matthews fell for 12 as Mumbai Women reached their target with 15 balls remaining and two wickets lost.

Mumbai are unbeaten in this year’s edition and are on a four-match winning streak.

They sit on top the five team table on a perfect eight points.
