The Lower House of Parliament has approved the nomination of McDonald Jacob to act in the Office of Commissioner of Police.
In a vote on Friday afternoon, 22 members voted for, no members voted against, while 14 Opposition members abstained from voting.
Meanwhile, a vote was also taken to approve the nomination of Mrs Earla Christopher and Mr Wendell Williams to act in the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police.
In both separate votes, 22 members voted for, no members voted against, while 15 Opposition members abstained from voting.
McDonald Jacob has been in the role of Deputy Commissioner of Police.
