The main objective of USAID is to provide development assistance to help partner countries on their own development journey to self-reliance – looking at ways to help lift lives, build communities, and establish self-sufficiency.
Key areas for partnership discussed included Public Financial Management, Strengthening systems in data collection and application, Climate Change, Crime and Violence, Disaster Resilience, Human Trafficking, Agriculture, Digitisation and Cyber Security.
These partnership programmes have and will continue to be executed over the next five years, with the respective Government Ministries and agencies, in the form of expert consultations, assessments, technical support and funding.
