Minister Cox Meets With Members Of The Christian Council Of Trinidad and Tobago

Minister of Social Development and Family Services, Donna Cox, has renewed calls for Faith Based Organisations to work with the Ministry as churches play an integral role in the provision of guidance in their communities.

Minister Cox met with representatives of the Christian Council of Trinidad and Tobago (CCTT) and the Christian Council of San Fernando (CCSF) on Tuesday at the Ministry’s Head Office on St. Vincent Street, Port of Spain.

During the meeting, Minister Cox shared a number of the Ministry’s Programmes, including the Parenting and Grand Parenting Programmes, as well as counselling and social service support provided to families in need.

Member of the Christian Council, Apostle Terrence Honore, stated that the church has evolved to see its mission go beyond the walls of buildings. He further stated that the church can use the services provided by the Ministry to reach the people where they are.
