Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Stuart Young, met with EOG Head Executives, Billy Helms President and Chief operating Officer, Ezra Yacob Chief Executive Officer, Micheal Donaldson, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Pat Woods, Vice President and General Manager International, and George Viera Managing Director (who joined the meeting virtually) at EOG Head Office in Houston Texas on 6th December 2021.
EOG Executives shared a comprehensive three year work plan with respect to three of their highly anticipated projects, Osprey, Mento, and Soldado and possible joint venture arrangements.
Crucial updates regarding the Soldado field which will be the first well to be drilled by EOG on the West Coast were discussed in detail, as well as the Rig Work programme for Soldado which is expected to commence in February of 2022.
Discussions also touched on works being done with respect to the Mento Project including the preparation of detailed engineering works and bid packages.
With respect to the Osprey programme, EOG indicated that it is scheduled to commence in August 2022. EOG is now in the process of contracting the Noble Regina Rig for this project which will bring on additional gas for Trinidad and Tobago.
Senior EOG Executives are due to visit Trinidad and Tobago on March 22nd 2022, where further updates on Osprey, Mento and Soldado will be provided.
