Key Points from the Ministry of Health’s Virtual Media Conference :
- Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Roshan Parasram, provided an update on the vaccination figures as of 8PM last night. Dr. Parasram shared that 595,259 persons have received their first dose, representing 42.5% of the population and 543,262 people have completed their vaccination regime, representing 38.8% of the population.
- Dr. Parasram indicated that yesterday, the Ministry of Health confirmed 10 additional cases of the Delta Variant, the total number of Delta cases detected now stands at 42.
- The CMO also stated that The Delta variant of concern has been confirmed in every county across Trinidad & Tobago.
