Miss World Candidate Alleges Racism And Prejudice

Tobago’s Miss World delegate is claiming she faced several injustices during the Miss World Trinidad and Tobago Competition lead up.

Following Sunday’s Grand Finale, Miss Plymouth Karielle Ramsden took to Facebook stating no consideration was given to her to have her Beauty with a Purpose Project done.

She claimed that the schedule was changed several times and the photoshoot was set while she was absent. She also claimed that when contacted, the Franchise Holder promised to provide further information regarding the shoot but never did.

Miss Ramsden who is no stranger to pageantry said this was only a sample of her experience, adding it was the first time she experienced prejudice and racism as a Tobagonian.

TTT News contacted representatives of the Miss World Franchise who informed us they are working on verifying that the statements were made by Miss Plymouth, Karielle Ramsden . They added that at no time were the issues raised during the process.

The Miss World Franchise representatives as well as her coach have been reportedly trying to contact Ms.Ramsden, however they indicated she has not responded.

Miss Maracas Valley Ache Abrahams was crowned Miss World T&T 2022.
