QPCC’s first team will meet Carenage Blasters second team in the finals of the 2023 Magic Mist Table Tennis Spin Cup Series.
Blasters 2 had an easier time of it against WASA 1.
Riad Abasali was the only WASA player to put up some resistance with as 3/1 win over Gabriel John.
But Luc O’Young and Abhai Lal both took straight sets victories from theirs, before O’Young beat Abasali three sets to 1 to send Blasters through.
In the other semi, Queens Park’s Javier King beat Blasters Jamali Mauge three sets to 1.
Blasters Nicholas O’Young then roared back with a 11/6, 11/5, 11/5 straight set win over Abraham Francis.
QPCC’s Imani Edwards Taylor toughed it out to win three sets to two over Nikolai Barbour Alexis to tie things up 2-2
Then O’Young brushed King aside in straight sets.
In the decider, Francis took a 3-1 win over Mauge to book his teams spot.
