More than 7,000 teachers and 38,000 students received devices to aid in online classes.
At the Ministry of Education’s Press Conference on Thursday, Chief Education Officer, Lisa Henry David, noted that these devices were made possible through collaboration with several stakeholders including UNICEF and CAF.
Ms. Henry David also revealed that the Ministry of Education will increase connectivity to students and teachers.
Further projects are underway by the Ministry and the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago to increase bandwidth and wireless connectivity in all 134 Secondary and 72 Primary Schools in Trinidad and Tobago.
