MOH Confirms Three Weeks Of Rising COVID-19 Cases

This country has seen three consecutive weeks of increases in COVID-19 cases, causing health official to keep a close watch on any possible spike.

Epidemiologist Dr. Avery Hinds says previous weeks would’ve seen upward and downward figures of new cases, but says this has now been steadily increasing.

Dr. Hinds adds that many counties have also been experiencing an increase, noting that it is not specific to any one area.

Meanwhile, County Medical Officer of Health for St. Andrew/St. David, Dr. Allana Quamina-Best, says parts of East Trinidad is a cause for concern.

She said this is not surprising since less than just 10% of people that reside in the Manzanilla catchment area have come forward to be vaccinated.
