To date, there are 19 laboratory confirmed deaths and 1 thousand, 8 hundred and 2 confirmed cases of Dengue Fever in Trinidad and Tobago
The recent update from the Ministry of Health concerning Dengue has confirmed that 1 thousand 3 hundred and 24 yellow fever notices have been issued to property owners or occupiers, instructing them to clean up their surroundings.
Out of this number, 81 property owners are facing legal action for not complying.
The Ministry is urging the public to be aware that Dengue Fever can be transmitted through the bite of an infected Aedes aegypti mosquito. Anyone displaying signs or symptoms of Dengue Fever should promptly seek medical attention from their doctor or the nearest health facility.
