The administering of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines will resume from this weekend as the Ministry of Health expects a batch of 75,000 doses to arrive in the country on Thursday.
The update came from Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh who said the Ministry also dropped the ‘time slots’ for getting the booster doses. He said anyone can come in to get their booster three months after their second shot of Sinopharm, two months after their Johnson and Johnson single-shot, or six months after receiving the second shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Mr. Deyalsingh added that the Ministry is still in talks with Pfizer to purchase the vaccines for 5 to 11 years olds, or via an arrangement with CARICOM.
