An elderly woman was murdered by a close male relative at Basse Terre Village in Moruga on Wednesday.
Eighty two year old Philda Maudie, who was both chopped and shot, died at her Edwards Trace home.
The suspect also shot Maudie’s son, Derrek Maudie, during the melee. He was transported to the Princes Town District Health Facility where he’s being treated.
Police officers, who responded, shot and wounded the elderly suspect after he was caught with a gun and refused to put the firearm down.
The suspect was also taken to the Princes Town District Health Facility.
