Mothers, especially those with babies born today, Mother’s Day, were celebrated at the nation’s hospitals.
At the Sangre Grande Hospital, the Eastern Regional Health Authority celebrated nine mothers. Among them was Janiah Joseph who resides in Guaico. She gave birth to the first baby born today at the Hospital. The baby girl named Xiah was born at 3:30am. .Acting Chief Executive Officer, Angelina Rampersad-Pierre, and Member of the Board of Directors, Lucy Torres, recognised all mothers and expecting mothers on the maternity ward presenting them with fruit hampers.
At the Port of Spain General Hospital, the North West Regional Health Authority congratulated Tessa Johnson-Morgan, who gave birth to a bouncing baby boy at approximately 1:44 this morning. Tessa was the first mother to give birth on Mother’s Day at hospital.
