Oil spills from ruptured pipelines owned by Heritage Petroleum Company continue to affect residents in Cocoyea and Santa Flora.
Member of Parliament for San Fernando East, Brian Manning, met with the residents of Inverene Road, Cocoyea on Friday to hear some of their concerns.
Many of the families say they feel unwell from inhaling the fumes from the ruptured oil pipeline.
Mr. Manning said experts from Heritage Petroleum were on site doing assessments, but the residents are still concerned as part of their roadway has been blocked.
One resident, David Hills, said the community would like to have some dialogue with Heritage to resolve some of their problems.
Heritage Petroleum is also dealing with a ruptured oil pipeline at Agapito Trace, in Santa Flora.
