Mud Fest 2023

The Mud Outlaws 4×4 Off Roading Club hosted its annual event entitled ‘Mud Fest’ last Sunday in Debe.

The event took place in Ghandi Village and saw more than 25 participants in varying categories from different parts of the island.

There was a mix of some old school machines mixed with the new modern rigs, that all came out for some muddy fun.

In a male -dominated sport, female competitor Nidhi Kirpilani, in her white Mitsubishi L200, blasted to the top of the modified Novice category. She also grabbed third in the pick-up bracket with Brandon Thackoordass placing first.

The mud-hogs in the Mud Terrain Class experienced tougher conditions, with Richard Jairajsingh taking first, Shashtri Telluckdharry second, and Mukesh Mungal in third.

And the Open Class saw a keen contest, with third place finishing in a tie between Taran Ramdass and Rajesh Jairajsingh. Suresh Sookraj grabbed first spot and Jude Sooklal took second, as the successful event came to a close.
