Carnival Tuesday celebrations in Tobago began with a Senior Parade of Bands in Scarborough, but it was mud mas that seemed to be revellers’ favourite.
The Senior Parade of Bands saw small groups of masqueraders chipping through the streets of Scarborough. Elements of pan were also included in the activities, as steelbands entertained spectators along the streets and at Market Square.
Among spectators were tourists who disembarked from the Marella Voyager cruise ship. The visitors joined masqueraders on the parade route as they enjoyed the festivities.
However, as the evening set in, mud mas took over. Starting from the Bagatelle Dutty Camp, scores of mud masqueraders made their way into Scarborough, bringing the curtains down on Tobago’s 2025 National Carnival production.
